Abstraction – Neues Museum

The James-Simon-Galerie is situated in Berlin between the Kupfergraben and the Neues Museum. This illustration is an abstraction of the building drawn by Kristina Dam Studio. The James-Simon-Galeries long sequence of columns, or colonnades are as beautiful as they are picture perfect. The architecture of this building sets a modern accent on the Museum Island and at the same time the building manages to blend in with the adjoining buildings. As you might already know, the name of the new building, James Simon, belongs to one of the most important patrons in the history of the National Museums in Berlin. The stricking appearance of the building made it easy for Kristina Dam to fall in love with and we hope that Kristinas version of the building as an art print will find its way into many homes around the world.
